About Me

When I was little, I liked to draw pictures with words. When I grew up I discovered that I could put pictures with words and call it a career as a designer. Recently, I’ve fallen in love with being behind the lens and helping brides, grooms, couples and families form their own words when they see themselves in pictures.

I am inspired most by three little beauties that were given to me by my Creator, and I like to spend time with my high school sweetheart who gets to live his own dream, driving around our town in a big red fire truck.

    I *heart* shooting product photos

Particularly handmade products. This past weekend I photographed some great twirly handmade skirts that my January bride-to-be made for her girls. These shots were not only a part of their family session, but held a dual purpose for her to use as marketing in her own Etsy shop where she sells these skirts for little girls and big girls, too (adults—custom order.)

I especially understand the handmade item well because I worked in craft books for over seven years as an art director. Part of my vision for the future of my business is to continue to photograph product from the individual crafter to the manufacturers and sellers of that product and to the publishers who show the how-to of how to make it alll; I just personally really dig what handmade is and what handmade means.

“Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hopes shine to the stars. Enthusiasm is the sparkle in your eyes, the swing in your gait. The grip of your hand, the irresistible surge of will and energy to execute your ideas.”
    Henry Ford
