The Gander + Dearth’s * Family

It is a rarity that I get to do a family session alongside an engagement session, but when I photographed Nick + Rachael’s engagement session in the spring Rachael also asked if we could get in some family shots of both of their girls while we were at it. I loved the idea of the girls being in some of the shots, and getting some shots of them before their parents’ planned January nuptials. My hope is that they look back at these photos years from now and see the buds of their early beginnings together as a combined family.

As mentioned in their engagement session, Rachael is super duper crafty and she made so many things for the shoot including headbands, skirts and the banner that says “My Honey Pie” in the orchard shots. We also color-schemed their outfits to match the wedding colors, and she showed up with them in coordinating yellow and grey. In couldn’t have turned out more lovely.

I *heart* this family and can’t wait to be with them all on the wedding day.
